Author Topic: Nickelodeon fails.  (Read 8748 times)

Oh my god, have you seen the episode where Squidward says his house is fancier than Squilliams on that TV show, so the TV show says they'll be at Sqiudward's in an hour. So Squidward decides to move all of his furniture around and make his house fancy, but Spongebob decides to get in the way. There's a scene that follows with them moving a couch, and Spongebob rips Squidward's toenail off. Oh god, I almost puked.
Remember the one where he gets the Splinter? Dear god, TV is dead.

At least we have Cartoon Network!
Nvm they're a bunch of sell-outs.

This is why I have The science channel up all day. Or I just pop in a DVD.

Nickelodeon failed the moment they took "Invader Zim" off the air. Best. Show. Ever.

Why was that cancelled anyways?

No, Nickelodeon started to fail when shows like Rocko's Modern Life and CatDog were taken off the air.

LOL I WAS FLIPPING THROUGH THE CHANNELS, AND I SAW THE pusillanimous individual CAT DOLLS ON THEM KIDS CHOICE AWARDS. It was so funny, because they did stuff that should only be seen in a strip club :D

They failed when they took Kenan and Kel off the air.

Why was that cancelled anyways?

Too graphic or something. Not sure. It might have been that... Crap. I forgot his name... Stopped making new episodes and Nickelodeon decided that re-runs weren't good enough.

Yeah, I think Invader Zim was canceled because of the amount of plain out creepy-ness of the show. In every single episode, there was at least one thing thoroughly disturbing. Reely noew.

Nevermind, just found out.

Despite the show's popularity and extended fanbase ranging from kids to adults, the show was axed after the 9/11 tragedy. It was beleived that a show featuring a megalomaniacal alien attempting to destroy the world was 'too sensitive a subject' to be showing after the 9/11 attacks. Unfortunately the show was cut in the height of its popularity. Most fans of the show agree that using the 9/11 tragedy as an excuse to cancel the show was a bit underhanded, as well as a bit of overreaction. Invader Zim has not been picked up again and there are currently no indications of the show returning.

Note that there may be other reasons given for the show's cancellation, but supposedly the 9/11 tragedy was cited by Nickelodeon as the primary reason why the show was cut.

Wow, our government's stupid.
