I was wondering if I could make a weapon that apon picking it up would make you switch to said weapon and not be able to switch off of it?

Ugh... I guess I'll just ruin the suprise and explain what I mean...

The game would be an assult of sorts. 2 teams. Attack and Defence. One team guards the briefcase, the other team retrieves it. I want it so that when a player picks up the briefcase, it won't let the player switch off of it. I'd have the Drop item on death mod turned on so that when the briefcase player is killed, he/she drops the briefcase and another player can pick it up.

The enemy has captured your intelligence!

Red Team: The enemy has our intelligence!
Blue Team: We have the enemies intelligence!

Do it with team DM... except have 1 Way CTF, just don't make one of the teams have a flag, and a time limit.

Look at the CTF code. Or just use the CTF entirely.

I was thinking of adding an option to CTF where it uses a briefcase on your back instead of a hammer, leaving your hands free for weapons, but it might add too many extra datablocks...

I started this topic before TDM came out, but then it was released and now I'm currently working on the mod thanks to Space Guy's code.

You could just have their inventory cleared when they pick up the flag.
"This is so heavy I don't think I'll be able to carry anything other than it."

But what if the player dies and drops the weapon on death? Someone else with a gun could pick it up and still have ranged fighting. Not to mention that if another player dies and drops their weapon, the case carrier could pick it up and shoot people.

I am working on that in an attempt to try to get The-Titanium to bring back his Team Blocktress server.
