Author Topic: Just got a computer, making a server, what should I host?  (Read 1866 times)

Its an old compaq I found around the house.

Specs:
Pentium 4 3 - 1 ghz
256 mb RAM
100 GB total space

Yes, it sucks, hopefully my dad will get newer computers from his work (they are upgrading). This^ computer is the last generation of computers they had.

The ones the are getting rid of are dual cores (don't know the specs off the top of my head) for $50

EDIT: its a pentium 3

Ew don't host at all.  With ram like that it will be laggy as stuff.  I don't even think you can run blockland with that.

if so, host a swerver called: TAPEDECKS LAG

I'll be sure to.

Should be up by the end of the day.  And yes I am serious.

I have computer that's just like that, only smaller harddrive.  I put Ubuntu server on there, and I'll get a dedi BL server on there eventually.

Compaq deskpro EN?

Compaq deskpro EN?

Dell thing.

I want those things from my school.

My school has these nice little computers that would work great as a server. 1gb RAM, dual core 2.0ghz CPU, and a virtually non-existant graphics card!

Those are my school's ones, HP, right?
