Shortened Words.

On a more serious note, i don't mind "k", but when people shorten words like "you" to "u", it bugs me, i mean, would it kill them to type TWO more letters to actually spell it right? They're typing more than "u" anyway, like "why are u killing me????" or "what are u doing" :/

The only thing that really bothers me about shortened words are when someone uses them to say an entire sentence like "bbl going 2 the movies ttyl".  I use stuff like k and wut sometimes it depends on who I'm talking to.

I use "wat" as more of a 'surprised' question.

I like the cell-phone commercial where the parents read out each acronym in their daughter's text messages. It makes people realize how dumb it sounds. :I

I cringe when I hear cell phone commercials talk about "pics".

Same here.  Now they say they are "pix".  It's like, Oooh, you're so awesome you saved time typing one more freakin' word.  Go you.

It really gets on my nerves when someone makes a word way longer than it needs to be.

I used to use them in combat arms or something when my typing was worse. I would say like "u need 2 folo me n this door" and no one would and I would try to kill 3 enemies on my own. Good times...
