No, we have no damn clue on how we work. How can we make something that is equal to or superior to our own intelligence?

In terms of processing, computers double every other year ( or five years, cant remember). Nowhere can they outlive us or understand as much as us at once.

Also, I would love to see a source from that video.

Quick Omega! Throw your shoe at the computer desk. While doing this calculate the change in energy of every object on your desk as soon as the shoe hits it.

Ladios, you can be slower then a computer. We can still out live it and with that, we can know more things.

Processing power = how much, not how fast.

Its going to be like ten years before they make a computer that's smarter then humans. Then like 20 or 15 years (I believe) untill everyone ahs a computer that's smarter then humans. Yay.

Then another 30-50 before we could create a self aware AI prototype that can speak perfect english and likes pandas.

Even if its fake, a hundred thousand more robots like this are being created anyways.

Awesome...even more rampant speculation based upon anecdotal evidence and subconscious fear.

I don't think it will be that difficult to create A.I. It will simply take a few small steps then BAM! an explosion AKA singularity.

We humans have a knack for overestimating the complexity of our minds. All our skills, beliefs and idiosyncrasies are merely byproducts of simple motives and a few genetic subroutines. The key to A.I. lies in recreating a human baby, or in different terms: create a machine with only the attributes a child has with slight alterations to fit synthetic needs over biological needs. Then dynamic, value-based, causal memory handles learning and development. Then the A.I. can be raised like any other child to learn languages, skills and morals.

CADIE also has recommended places for humans to visit on Google maps and it talks about "autopilot" on Gmail. I don't use Gmail though so somebody would have to tell me how far on that joke they go.

With the end of Cadie everything has returned to normal.

Strange. It seems to be a watered-down /b/-tard.

said Cadie was the Conficker virus.

I knew it was sarcasm. This whole thing is painfully obvious..

If you knew it was sarcasm, why explain it to him still?
