The old web address for a korean company that made large blocks. When they went out of buisness, they sold the web address to a company that holds on to these address in the hopes of someone buying it. Why do you ask?

Tom

Its one of those cheap search engines, usually to 'reserve' a domain name so it can be sold for more.

When I first started playing and accidentally typed .com instead of .us, I got something asking me if I was 18 or older (because of adult content).

I was just finished playing Halo 3 when I typed blockland.com into the directory, and this came up.

Yea, it’s a place holder domain.

BS should buy it and just redirect it to Blockland.us.

It'll cut a hole in his wallet. Those brokers ask forgetloads for reserved domains.

What? Get out.

BS said somewhere once that the current owner was holding it and wanted like 3 grand for it or something.

i could be wrong on the story. but badspot might have actually had it at one time, but it got stolen from him during re-registering. it just expired and he didn't get it back soon enough?
there are starfishs on the net that just watch for sites that are expiring soon that get any traffic at all, and attempt to steal it, then hold it ransom.
