Author Topic: Dshiznit "Hacks" Blockland  (Read 6137 times)

that "Malicious Script" was in the earliest version of TBM, and it was only created in responce to the code theft, it was removed when the orange block started development...none of the scripts are encoded..its all open-source again..check the scripts yourself...

you probably would try to make precaution's like that if another mod starting taking parts(or the entirety) of your addons that you spent a lot of time creating, and claiming them as thier own..

people got so pissed off because one community decided to basicly copyright thier own ideas and scripts and try and prevent theft...

early on, around the time TBM got banned, Badspot basicly turned Communist.

"Precautions like that."

Dude, DSO your scripts. I guarantee they can't be stolen, and even if they did you might as well slap a "THIS IS FROM TBM" message when it execs or something.

Also did you just call Badspot a communist because he banned your mod?

Dude, READ YOUR DAMN POST OVER AGAIN. You're just proving my point, here.

richard around with the mods.

But it's fun. D:

Badspot is a commie?
Taking action to protect your work, investment, and future income is extremly non comunist.

he banned tbm because people started bitching about the anti-theft attempts.

and TBM didnt START the god damned piracy stuff. its been goin on ever since blockland went retail. USE GOOGLE.

Then what mod made it so that we can not DSO scripts in retail?

The answer is TBM.

the answer is RTB..

RTB stole from TBM, thus TBM decided to encode thier scripts to prevent further theft..

then RTB decided to throw around arguments and rumors.

the "virus" script was more for intimidation..to try and scare people away from stealing more content from tbm.

No, TBM decided to make it encoded and the virus was put in. Badspot heard the rumors and asked a friend to decode and look for anything bad in the scripts. Turned out there was. He banned all TBM members and when he made retail decided to disallow the use of DSO scripts outside the base of the game. All RTB did was make their mod and find you used a virus that affected their mod.

AiO stole from TBM, haha. I can't believe that this is still going on. It's like with the children in the kindergarten:
"My dumper truck is larger!"
"No! Mine's even larger!"
"Yeah, but my daddy's stronger than yours!"

Seriously, it is idiotic. Dislike Retail? Then stop caring about it! It's that simple.

Let's put this in perspective, shall we?

Dshiznit claimed Blockland's physics were, and I quote "miniature vehicles".

I rest my case.

it was proven several times that ReturnToBlockland stole basicly everything from TBM.

you cannot deny it.

ratify your grammar.

Ratifying grammar? Maybe you should try and learn the meaning of words before you use them. :eng99:

proven? it was all about aio. rtb was never involved

and to "steal" something means copyrighted intellectual property was being taken.
since it was content to mod blockland, means badspot owns it, even if he didnt make it.

no one had the legal right to go beyond that, yet tbm tried

read your history Jr.

the orig tbm devs ripped apart Rtb's codes...over 70% of em were direct copy-paste from tbm.

Now, I would love some cited proof of this copy & paste mod.

Even if he can hack it, I believe you go to jail for such actions.

Yes, the Annotated Unbiased Collections of Random Scribblings on TBM, all photocopied from Denny's napkins.

Who hasn't read that?
