Author Topic: Bright Map Lighting - Does it annoy you?  (Read 2548 times)

Tom

Sometimes I can't stand how bright some outdoor maps are. I can tolerate the bedroom map fine, but many other maps really bug me.

Am I the only one?

I don't mind, although the lighting on Construct could be a tad darker, maybe as dark as the Bedroom's lighting is

I can adjust to it fairly easily, I just don't like it when there's some dark areas, then suddenly bright lights.

I think the slate is to dark

Yes. A lot.

My main problem is construct, I agree with it needing to have bedroom-like brightness.

Slate lighting is darker than Bedroom.

Also, I hate maps that are dark, unless they are night maps. But you can successfully pull off a bright night map though, go take a look at Pope City in the old zombie mod (the first one, the standalone one). The shadows really pop out and it makes the map look pretty cool.

It's better than the maps with blue lighting. Those are so annoying.

Speaking of light and dark, i wish Blockland was like the old one where if you're in the shadow of terrain or an interior, your character would be dark until you stepped out of the shadow

I also hit map light that is really off-white.

I think slate is a bit too dark, but I like how colors look on it.

Don't get into that argument.

Beyond that, almost every monitor has brightness settings.

Tom

It ruins the colors of bricks. A black brick looks dark grey on some maps.

Bricks dont have shadows :O
