Author Topic: There's an end of slate... why?!  (Read 3728 times)

Actually, yes.
Slate uses a completely transparent interior shape, which cannot extend infinitly.
If you were to make infinite ammount of these interior shapes, the game would crash, if you didn't make the infinite interior shapes, there would be an end.

Using a terrain wouldn't work, seeing how terrains cannot be invisible.
Not any more, I believe that you can use water as in the plate map that uses a translucent texture. The green comes from a bit of the sky box. As for missing parts, badspot fixed that. I am sure that someone who knows how to do this could remake slate to be infinite. *looks at BAC & Ladios*

How so.

I do realize 'friend' may have been too brash, and I was going to change it. But really?

Calling random people a friend, much, and by your profile I can tell you're not too bright.

There is nothing on my profile :o

Other then me saying "So like, I hear this is broken." In the signature.

Also I did say that it may have been to brash.

It's impossible for a Computer to compute "Infinity".

everything has to end sometime

0 = -x
Impossible math equation

Input value of x  X
Add 1                  +1
Find value of x    =X
run again            Repeat

eventually you will figure out that this causes what we know to be infinity. It is a self feeding loop.

Infinity is when you can keep walking in one direction and never stop. A loop is when you can go in one direction and eventually land in the same place. Computers Can create a loop but not Infinity.
