Author Topic: Brick Saving on V11  (Read 712 times)

I'm always hosting and saving my own games. Since version 11 I've been occasionally getting pretty severe  bricks saving issues. It seems as if there are certain times that it will only save the bricks around me (Which I've heard is supposed to only happen to the people who have joined my room.) I have checked the BLS files to confirm that there is actually less data on some of my more recent saves.

This is on the bedroom map. Also I disabled all additional mods just to be sure that one of those weren't the cause.

That's strange, if you're the host of a non-dedicated, it's supposed to save all bricks, whereas clients save any bricks they've rendered.

Remember, bricks only load if you approach them. If never actually loaded all the bricks, some may have been lost.

I spent a couple hours once building a tutorial island for my RPG. I then saved on the Main island and the Tutorial Island was gone.

Theres no modify, but I wanted to add that the Tutorial Island was not within viewing distance of the Main Island

I have confirmed this bug time and time again (redo raaage). It only saves bricks you rendered, just like in multiplayer, so you better explore everything before saving.

A non-dedicated? I do have to open the dedicated DOS thing in order to host for whatever reason. But this problem has only come up lately.

not hosting and it happens to me, the train tracks like there was only in an area i could see around, i reloaded after few hrs gone and i started to drive the train and kinda derailed after 5secs of being out of the station. so i remade the whole track and saved and left blockland and came back reloaded and they was there.

No, because then you're treated like any other normal player when you join the dedicated server.

Okay I managed to host without the opening the dedicated box, and I still get the same issue. I know my issue is I will only save the things I have viewed, but I am the host here. Why am I still getting this problem? Is there any reason I could possibly still be having this happen?
