i have an odd problem with how everything looks

this happened to me before, and i fixed it by changing a value within a text file, but recently my computer crashed and it reverted to how it was before
can anyone help?

It's something to do with drivers, Try updating them.
Do you have an ATi card?

thanks, i forgot about my drivers, i haven't updated them in a while. it worked.
