I didn't face that discrimination, luck of mine that I got the game only 1 day after the release. 

And I still remember seeing high IDs getting banned over and over. In my servers, I don't judge people on the ID, but whether (s)he is well-known by the community / known by me / a friend / a stranger.

And yes, if I see the newbie is jerking around, I have no choice but to 1 minute ban. I like 1 minute bans because it's like a long kick with a reason message.

I think it's equally likely someone will build well whether they have a high or low ID. Lego/building enthusiasts are just as likely today as they were in v2 to like this game. Before "Retail" released there were already plenty of people that didn't care much about building.

I personally hate having an 11k ID.

Besides the normal ban from stupid servers, every once and a while a guy will come on with an ID like 100-600 something, and this will happen.

Me: Thanks.  I know my ID says otherwise, but I was in the v0002 beta.

LIDG: I made some really nice DMs for (same really old clan), are you sure?
Me: Yes, I'm sure.
LIDG: Come on, why won't you let me help?  I'm really good at building DMs! I was in (really old clan)
Me: I don't really care, I'd like to do it myself.

Me: No, I don't care what clan you were in, or how good you are, I just want to build it myself.
LIDG rages, builds a brick in an obscure part of map, and then sets it to spam projectiles until server crashes.
I ban him and clear his bricks.


This has happened about 3 times since my TDM server has been up.

Actually, Badspot does sometimes surf servers to find people discriminating on IDs.

Anyone who bans solely based on ID number is a pathetic power starved child.  I have banned people from the forums for bragging about this behavior in the past.  "The God Block" is already banned for some other handicappedness.  Maybe I should upgrade it to a permanent ban as there seems to be multiple things wrong with him. 

What pisses me off is I'm going to end up wasting time changing the ID system just be cause you kids can't go 5 minutes without wiping stuff on each other.

I agree, and disagree.  I think that anyone who buys the game is equally likely to be a builder no matter when they bought it.  The difference is that builders tend to stick around and play the game long term allot more then non-builders.  So the longer the time frame since a range of ids are bought, the fewer that are continuing to play, and the bigger percentage within that range that are active are builders.

I have an 8k BL_ID, and people used to say to me, "Ohmygosh, look at his ID!" And I was like, what about it? I thought that it being high was a very good thing. :(

I've never been banned for being new. :D

im over 20k, Ive never been banned, i havent bought it yet LOL.

anyway, when i do get it, i want to be on a server that TRUSTS me, i dont delete and act stupid for a cheap laugh
