...Which decides what your Blockhead looks like so then not even that can be unique to you. But really, random IDs? Let's just keep messing with the Blockland system that has worked fine all this time.

Yes lets

I don't want a lower ID, mine is in the 2000s

This would almost entirely get rid of ID descrimination and would force people to solely judge someone by the way they act. Why does it really matter if you know someone is new? What if they played the demo for a year before buying the game or have played for a year and are still handicapped? Knowing if someone is new does nothing for you except making you think of that person as beneath you and stupid. There are people that have played this game for years and still are idiots. (*cough* Tc572 *cough*)

I take it all 'The Prisoner' quotes have been used up on the subjects of BL_ID's?

ID in the 2000s eh? :P
lol

Yes i like my 2000 ID but i can see the benefits of this...

What? Why would we need random IDs at all? This has no meaning at all, IDs are needed to show how new you are to the game, anyway. Plus Badspot already blocked 666 and 1337, from what I heard. He doesn't need random ID assortment to remove specific numbers from being used.
Did he remove 69 :)

I think this is a good idea. After you buy the game, a program would check IDs that were already given and randomly assign you an available one. It would be out of 25,000 or so numbers and Badspot could remove some such as 666 and 1337. Discuss and vote.

(And if we got to around 24,000 and are about to run out, the program could then reassign IDs out of 50,000 and the cycle could continue)

Random ID assignment would not solve "ID discrimination".  In fact, it would make it worse.  The way it is now, at least its the more "veteran" players that have the low IDs.  With it being random, any random newbie could get a low ID and a veteran could end up with 15,000.  Then you'd still have idiots that treat players the same way - based on ID.  I'd much rather have people that have been here longer and are more likely to have adapted to community standards than newbies getting the low IDs.

-snip-
I'd rather just do away with IDs. That's what will solve ID Discrimination. Just get a key, insert it, set a name that isn't taken.

That would only work if Badspot makes it so that you are unable to change your registered name.

Buy a time machine and go forget up the past to get a lower ID.
