So as I'm typing this, I'm sitting in my great aunt's house in Charlotte, NC. Unfortunately, my great uncle died, hence me being here. The funeral was pretty cool, full military honors with an 18 gun salute (he served in the coast guard right after WWII).
But yea, he died last Saturday, and the memorial service was last night, so to make it, we drove twenty three hours straight from Texas. That sucked. We saw some interesting things along the way, including a fat dude wearing a shirt that said:
"While you were reading my shirt...
I farted."
We also saw a guy that was the definition of a redneck. He was driving a big pick-'em-up truck, wore a sleeveless shirt, had no front teeth, and his hat was like a cowboy hat, but just the brim. Almost like a cowboy visor...
But that's where Spenny and I have been. We should be back home on Friday.
