Author Topic: Comcast loving blows!  (Read 2833 times)

I have Comcast and I have very fast internet with great download speeds : )

Do NOT switch to DirecTV's internet service, HUGHESnet I believe?

It is the most horrid piece of crap internet I've ever experienced. I had it for a few years before DSL became available in our area. You could download 200MB a day and then they reduce your speed to < Dialup speeds. Online gaming is impossible. No Xbox Live, No WoW, No BLOCKLAND. And, to top it off, it was > twice as expensive as our DSL, and it costs about $500 just to get it set up.

Don't bother with it. It sucks.

Edit: This was a year ago. That's how it was for me. You may have a better experience, but don't say I didn't warn you.

^Ive also heard stories about DirectTV's internet :o

yea dish network TV and veizon high speed internet RULES

I have not had any problems with my Comcast internet service or my cable box.

So I take it you love it when a storm hits and your dish can't get a signal from a satellite?

No, Huhges-Net is not associated with DirecTV. I remember once, my neighbor didn't have internet, so Comcast cut ours and directed it to them. I hate Comcast because they think that just because they have a monopoly means that they don't have to listen to the customer. Another time, Comcast cut our internet because 'we had too much'. I hate Comcast. I have DirecTV for television and unfortunately Comcast for internet.

Fact: cable goes out 3x more than a satellite in a storm.

Really? So does the fact that when I had a dish at my old house, it always didn't get signal during a storm and yet with cable I have good reception 100% of the time?

Solution: Drop whatever you have and get some FiOs.

Well, it used to be. When it was DirecWAY or something gay like that. Then it changed to HUGHES. It still sucked.

If Comcast is what it says it is, why would their customers have numerous anti-Comcast websites, numerous anti-Comcast YouTube videos, and much more.

For TV, I really love DirecTV. For internet, I really loving hate Comcast!

the only time i really got an Internet faliure was when i stopped using a router and forgot to clear the TCI thingy properties. i use Comcast for phone, Internet, and TV. the only bad thing about the TV was that they took away G4 :(

My internet drops for no reason when im using it, especialy when i dont bother it (Lets say i leave for 2 days for vacation), it just says im connected to the network but theres no internet.

Same exact damn thing happens to me every two days.
