Having one is fine, having a million identical faces in the avatar menu is not. Look at the ones that come with the game: they're all unique in some way. The "themed" ones will usually be distinct from each other e.g. there isn't a million other colours to go with the blonde-haired one.

I don't see how this face looks at all like any of the faces in the comics you linked to, if it reminds me of anything, it's the face Egg made as he was coming out of the hen that was laying him in Swholli's flash video Fastbreak (I think that's the name of it), only he didn't have teeth, but the mouth is shaped somewhat the same
