Good gaming computer.

My laptop is getting more stuffty each day. I can't even open Windows Media Player. I'm at the point where I'm thinking "forget it, I'm getting a new computer." I got this laptop for Christmas, not knowing that laptops were stuff when it came to games. It's lagging on every game, online or offline, and when I use the XFire video capture, it's very, very laggy. So I want a PC with the following...

-a good graphics card, so i can play games in a high quality
-a GAMING COMPUTER, not a normal one for business
-I prefer XP, but if you can only find a good one for Vista, go for it
-a NON LAPTOP
-overall, good speed, no lag if possible, and just, a good one

i'm going to look at Best Buy website right now to see if I can find a good gaming computer. Also, unfortunately, my dad may take several weeks to change his mind about letting me get a new computer, i went down and told him about this just now, and he sighed, with anger, and said that I should've done research before getting a PC.

First of all, what are the specs of your laptop? It might be viruses from all the research you've downloaded that are causing it to be slow. Second of all, how rich are you?

If you want a better computer, just update RAM to 2 Gb, update to a extremely high performance graphics card, get a 1TB harddrive, and have a lazer mouse connected.

Pfft, it's not that bad.

I manage to get by at my Dad's house with a 4 year old laptop with a single-core 1.6ghz and a much worse integrated gpu.

Plus, I told you all that Windows Media Player doesn't even work, and the most loving idiotic thing about it is, on the stuffty Microsoft website, they don't have any Media Player downloads availiable for Vista, just XP. >:(

Well, there's Combat Arms, (please no flame) ROBLOX, 007 NightFire, and 18 WoS Pedal to the Metal. But the worst thing about it is that my laptop has a stuffload of HP crap that I don't know is okay to get rid of.
