Author Topic: Birthday Present  (Read 2178 times)

So my step-dad is from Canada, which means his parents don't come over very often. This takes place about two weeks after my birthday when they fly into town. My grandparents who wanted to bring my present down rather than mail it, gave me a very interesting shirt. Upon first glance I though it read something completely different. I was forced to ask myself, "What the hell were my grandparents thinking when they bought me this?"

Please Discuss.

The way it's shaped, it look's like it is a woman's shirt. And I thought it said "forget off" too, ahaha.

Nice, reducing the quality makes it say that. The button is way too stereotypical. But nice shirt anyways.

Do you even understand what the shirt is saying? It's saying to conserve energy. Hence the power button, you turn stuff off to conserve energy.

Never heard of a size s-p before. o.o

Small - petite

They just put the English and French words on the shirt

KNOW!

KNOW!
Ok, then how the forget is using a power button creatively as an O stereotypical? And stop the loving italics.

No, I meant that, wait, never mind, I just realized something. I thought that the power button as an icon was over-used, but then I realized that it's become.........grah, iconic....and knew it was well designed. Does that clear it up?

I am from Kanata, I remember this, wasn't this a while ago? or are they still doing it.

Yah, they thought they were pretty clever with the whole forget/flick off dealio

Yep. Me too.

They make it look like forget Off on purpose, more people are going to look at a t-shirt if it says forget OFF

Looked like an Xbox red ringing.
