Author Topic: Standalone Turret  (Read 959 times)

Ok, many of you might know of my cannon vehicle. It's just a vehicle without wheels. The problem is, I want a turret. Just a turret. Like the tank's. I have a turret made with all the dsq files needed, it just doesn't appear under the vehicle drop down when i hit a spawn with a wrench. Here is the script. need to make it so when I am in the turret, I cannot walk around. It is like I wear the turret like a big dress.

 now need it to sit firmly on the ground. What joint should I move for this. Also, I do not want it to play the pain emitters when it takes damage.

Any console messages?

Does your zip file happen to include NameCheck or whatever it's called?

Edit: And was this intentional or are you trying to get it to spawn on the vehicle?

No errors except for particles. I want the turret itself to spawn on a vehicle pad so i can have a turret vehicle.

Ah ok, you might want to un-comment that line then since it's the name of the playerCharacter as it appears on the vehicle list

Ok, so what do I do? Remove the //? Sorry, I am kind of new to scripting but I know how to make things work, sort of.

Yup you got it. And no prob.

make the turrets forward and backwards speeds 0 and anything else that sounds like it might affect it (look in  the horse vehicle's scripts for help)

This looks nice. Maybe it could have a "companion" turret that is programmed to automatically shoot at players in a certain Radius. I made a topic about it. It's just a suggestion/opinion, so I was just saying.....
