I got the same problem.

I hate people who criticize grammar and spelling when they suck at it themselves.

If you read further in the thread, you would've saw that got means to have an obligation to something.

"Got to go" = "I am obligated to go"
It's a correct statement.

The phrase "I have to leave." doesn't really make sense when you think of what you're literally saying either. :P
