When did it die? I only see people using "textspeak" these days. Now, if you're on a cell phone and you're texting, that's an absolutely quirky way to type, so I can understand it. But why text someone with "cal me". Seriously, why would you do that? You could just as easily call THEM. Geez, get your act together people! People don't capitalize the beginning of their sentences, their word "I"'s, or refuse to put an apostrophe (' for all you illiterate black people) in I'm.
And what happened to culture, while I'm at it? Pants that sag? That sounds like the dumbest idea ever. I mainly see black people doing it, too, and not to be tribal, but if they'd act respectable AND TALK LIKE THEY HAVE A BOTTOM LIP then they wouldn't get such a bad reputation (Who came up with the word "Rep"? They need to be dragged into the street and shot!).
Seriously. I'd like to know what YOU think happened to the English language and the American culture (Europeans, feel free to make fun. Also, BRUSH YOUR TEETH. Just because you have free dental healthcare doesn't mean you need to have stuff-breath. Yes Riley I'm addressing you). No, I'm not putting up a poll. Just because you're lazy and would rather click than write (Which will probably show if you're a part of the problem, or using spell-check) an intelligible response doesn't mean that I'm going to change the way this topic is written.
