If it's marijuana, tell him not to smoke around you, marijuana is actually less harmful in the short term than alcohol. But, it is bad in the long term, phycosis anyone? Thought I don't think he will smoke it for 10 years.
If it's anything else (IE: Crack, Herion, Cocaine, uppers/downers, etc.) tell him to cut that stuff out.

Most druggies I know say cocaine isn't that great anyways.

If you're determined to get him to stop, replace his weed (if thats what it is) with an herb that looks like it. Or mix some it and have smaller and smaller percentages of it. He'll just get bored of it.

I wouldn't worry that much because it is still being debated whether pot is addictive or not, in most cases its like masterbating. Your body doesn't have a physical need to- oh wait nvmd.

I find it funny when people say this.
Well, okay in that case, shooting someone's head off isn't as bad as stabbing them a couple of times and hospitalizing them.
Please, go ahead and stab some people, we wont mind at all.

What type?

Meth, Acid, other stuff that forgetes you up?

If that's what they want to do to themselves, by all means.

Get him a free stay at your local Rehab Center :D

Well, of course it's okay. There's far worse things!

Tell him to stop.  Since he's a druggy, he won't.  Then proceed to kick his ass every time he gets high.

That there are.

D.A.R.E anyone?
Yes because anti drug friends really get the point across.  What you need to do is scare the stuff out of people.  We had a former meth adict come into our school and give us a presentation.  The most forgeted up thing I've every seen.  I guarantee that someone juts decided he wasn't going to start meth in the next few days.

He's doing pot...

And you guys are giving ridiculous suggestions i seriously want him to stop. He's been my friend since preschool.

How often does he do it? If it's only like once or twice a year, let it slide. If it's once or twice a day, talk to him about it. Really, the best advice I can give you is to confront him. Tell him that, as a friend, he needs to stop. If that doesn't work, and you really think he should stop, tell his parents.
