Author Topic: Blender Dts... Yet again  (Read 1291 times)

Well this is another topic of mine with the purpose of seeking help on getting my Dts exporter for Blender to work. I really want to start making my own models for Blockland, but I can't do that until this is fixed... So I'll tell you whats up.

Ok well:
Can someone help me get my DTS exporter working? When I use it in my downloads folder it says: "Exporter scripts are not here" Or something similar to the meaning of that. I really want to start making my own models, but I can't get this to work. For some reason, when I downloaded the newest Python, and then installed Blender, it said I didn't have Python. So I had to downgrade to the version that Blender was made on. I don't know if that has anything to do with it, but I really would like to fix this....

You need to have the correct version of python for your blender version. I don't have the newest version of python, it's about 3 grades lower than current, but my exporter works.
I'm using Blender 2.48a and Python 2.5.2 (according to Blender's console).

My Blender Dts Exporter Failed when I upgraded my computer so I basicly can't model anymore. It's really depressing after how many great reviews I got off my models.

I've had enough, I really want to get my Blender Exporter working, I uninstalled everything, went to the newest version of Python, and it says something like "Python not found... Some scripts may not run" And I tried to use the DTS exporter, WHY DOESN'T THIS WORK? Is the DTS exporter for windows Vista? Or XP? It might be a directory error. HOW DO I MAKE IT WORK.

Same problem here except I'm to the part of trying to get Python 2.5.2 to work (How do I do that?)

went to the newest version of Python
You don't want the newest version of python, it's not going to be compatible with blender. What version of blender are you using (should be displayed in the box that pops up every time you open blender).

I have the proper Python and the newest version of Blender.

That tells me absolutely nothing...
I'll assume you're using 2.48a, which is the version displayed on blender's site, which means that you'll need python 2.5.2. So do you have Python 2.5.2? Also, what OS are you using?

I would like to know how to fix this, I am running the newest version of Blender, I have Python 2.5.2 and I have the newest Exporter, I still get the "Current folder does not contain exporter scripts!" error and I want to fix this. I have Windows Vista. My Blender folder doesn't have a scripts folder (Like my friends whom has Windows XP) Can anyone else with Vista get theirs working? Tell me what you did to get it working.

C/Programfiles/Blender Foundation/Blender/.blender/scripts. Copy and paste all files and folders from the exporters into there.

My Blender only came with C:/Program Files/Blender Foundation/Blender it doesn't have a scripts folder. Do I make one? Do I extract the thing to that file?

Edit: I already tried that, it didn't work...
