Yes. I have a windows Vista here are the exact things I did

Ok I think its the .45 at the end of the IP doesnt match my router.
- I got on to the link for my router at portforwarding.com
- I followed the security steps.
- I typed bloclnd1 In the app box
- I then did 28000 for the start
- Then 28030 for the end
- I clicked both for the protocol
- I put .45 at the end of the IP.
- I went to control panel
- I went to network connections
- Then manage network connections
- Then local area
- Then properties
- Then internet protocol version 4
- I ended the IP with .45 Just like the guide said
- Then 255.255.255.0 Like the guide said.
- Then the default gate way end with a .1
- Then I did my DNS 1 and 2
- I started blockland
- I started server
- And it wasnt showing up.
Heres the link to the guide for my router. http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Linksys/WRT54GS/Blockland.htm
Im not sure whats wrong but I started my server and it did not appear on the server list. Please help...

I doubt this is causing the problem but make the ports 28000-28032

If you are putting the numbers in your network settings the same as the ones in the guide, you are doing it wrong. Use Ephi's guide.

How odes security work?  I mean are there hackers able to get in.  Im really sad that last time I hosted a server, over 600 people tried to hack and my dad doesnt want me doing it anymore.  How do I get it so security will just let people join the server, but not hackers?
