Author Topic: AT&T's internet service is laughable.  (Read 2206 times)

It's loving ridiculous. I've been getting 35.5kbps for like a week now. When it's working the way it should be, I get no more than 110kbps. Even on uncapped downloads.

Meanwhile at my other house I'm getting 256kbps wireless on Comcast. Uncapped downloads will give me upwards of 1Mbps.

Internet games seem to work fine, however I have noticed that my average ping has gone up, further lowering my server selection.

Baha, my Comcast wireless gets at least 25 mbps.

But yeah, seriously get off that AT&T. Don't even get DSL from verizon either, its a clusterforget nightmare.

I remember last year they "fixed" a problem by swapping our phone line with a neighbor's. We were getting their phone calls, and vice-versa.

Don't forget their TV, where it freezes on a weekly basis, and you have to reset your box.

That happened a day I was sick 4 times, and I had to get up and reset it. I wasn't feeling good enough to be doing that.

Yeah, I was getting about 110 kbps before with AT&T.

all ya'll are slow, my laptop averages 48/mbs

Wow, am I the only one happy with AT&T DSL?

Yeah this topic totally isn't about him complaining about it or anything.

I love my internet service. I always thought that I had bad service but then when I saw that I had an average mphs of 45 I was like "Holy stuff".

I am content with Verizon DSL, before that I had Satellite internet...

never get satellite internet...just a sprinkle will knock your internet offline. (that and DirectTV)

download speed doesnt really bother me..I just start my download and forget about it..

I normally download at 200kb/s max uncapped..but all my downloads are usually capped at the download server.

I have Verizon DSL, and I'm getting Direct TV.

forget it, least I will have HBO again.

Someone finally understands my pain.

All I know about AT&T is that in 1990 their switchboards failed. Badly. I wrote a short report on it.

121 kps.

Damn Telus.
