I ban people from my server that try to do role playing stuff. I don't want 8 year olds being each others babys or pets, it's just stupid. If you want to do that family stuff, go play Sims.

CityRP was simply an abandoned mod that was left to the public. Its like those games that get alot of hype, dissapear, and then get released later when everyone realizes how bad it is.

In my opinion, CityRP fail just because there's always that one idiot on your server who uses the ^ sign instead of the / sign for server commands.

The difference between RP and RPG.

An RP is open-ended, where the players are actually roleplaying that they are someone or something else, without any automatic enforcement of a system.

An RPG is a defined system that is meant to encourage roleplaying. Roleplaying Game. You have systems that track that you are in fact mining 1 iron ore, rather than when roleplaying straight up you would simply say, "I'm going to spend X amount of time mining Y amount of iron ore." CityRP is in fact an RPG. All those people who say their server is an RPG when it isn't running any form of system enforcing it, are in fact running a straight Roleplaying server.

It makes me wonder how many kids know what they're actually doing.

yeah, I liked the city RP's
A little structure to a build server was nice... now all we get is free builds and i'm not really a fan of team death matches either. But there's people just like me who don't like those, doesn't mean you can get rid of tdm's and build servers... it just means we don't go there. So why is it that the people who hate the cityRP's and never go to them get their way and the people who actually DID go to them get screwed over...?
