Yes, but, we can actually believe you.

As of now I'm only a high school sophomore.

Hoping to get into FAU (Florida Atlantic University).

I'll be going into Electrical Engineering, might be useful for that supposed need for clean energy soon and it's slightly related to computers. I wouldn't mind getting involved in the aerospace industry though.

Aerospace Engineering...yeah. :D

I'll be attending Embry Riddle in a few short months.

I want to go to MIT ;o

I want to go to MIT ;o

What would you study there? It's an amazing school and I'm sure there would be plenty of other opportunities open for you there but....It is incredibly expensive. I was just browsing their site and I believe I saw somewhere an estimate of $50,000 per year.

I considered MIT, but chose not to apply for 3 reasons:

1) Self-doubt: I didn't go batstuff crazy with AP courses and so my class rank is mediocre. It's a really challenging school to get into.
2) It doesn't specialize in the field I was interested in. Not as strong industry connections, less valuable as a tool to start a career.
3) Again, self doubt: Even if I got in, I don't think I could take that kind of pressure. All those amazing minds constantly surrounding you...it's enough to make anyone feel small.

This is why I don't want to get into those really well-known colleges that are extremely hard to get into.

Plus, the industry I plan on getting into probably won't restrict me from too many jobs, due to a lack of an MIT degree.

MIT is pretty cool, I toke a SAT course there, but the buildings are undergoing some renovations. You have to be the creme de la creme, or have lots of money to get in.

Aerospace is such a small field, good luck with the competition.

I'm either be a mechanical engineer, or a pilot. I am looking into Worcester Polytechnic Institute.

Not in college but would have a masters in English if I could...

Not even close. It's a billion dollar industry with close ties to all areas of engineering. It isn't just about designing aircraft or space craft; Cars, missiles, satellites, wind turbines, ships, and more all relate directly to AE. Companies like Boeing and Lockheed service a variety of needs, both military and civilian, and have thousands of different products on the market.

The pay is good too.  ;D

I'm planning on getting into Rice University and studying architecture.

I think that they look at your SAT mostly. I would like to be like a software engineer, or something. A job that works with code I guess. Money isnt a problem, lol.

Have fun working in 7 Eleven cleaning bathrooms or stuck at the Wendy's Drive-Thru.
I love how people think this is how you end up if you dont go to college

Currently UAA and transferring to UHM since I'm moving this coming spring.
