Oh, and I will get Windows 7 64 bit for all of this.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFF you stole my thread.

Hah, where's the motherboard. To make a good decision on a video card I'll need to know if there is a PCI-E 2.0 slot. (As a PCI-E 2.0 card wouldn't be able to reach its full potential in a regular PCI-E x16 slot, from what I've heard.)

Awesome. I'm glad you buy into that stuff.

Also, don't use nvidia. Worst choice I ever made.

What. Nvidia generally makes more stable/better drivers than ATI.

Nvidia also likes to re-release previous cards under a new name.

Oh, I have a PCI 2.0 slot, one.  I have a mobo.

What price range would you generally like it to be?

I don't really have one.

Ok, what would you like it to be able to do, then?

Play games at high, with a good framerate, but I don't want any graphics card like a nVidia GTX 280, I'd like a reasonable price, because I'll be the one paying for parts.

Get out ATI fanboy.

Get out ATI fanboy.

I'm not a fanboy. I have an nVidia GeForce 7100GS. I had an ATI 9000 before.

No wonder you don't like Nvidia.
