Author Topic: Port Forwarding  (Read 322 times)

I tried to forward my ports, and I think it worked. Usually my game crashes when I attempt to host an internet game, but it didn't this time. I spawned, and then waited for about ten minutes, and no one came. Was it because there were more popular servers out, or that I didn't port forward right? I can't tell.

If you just changed forwarded the ports in your router, you probably still have to set up a static IP address or something. It was the 2nd part of the Blockland Port Forwarding Guide. This is how I got mine working right, might be different for you though. Also, if you want check if your ports are forwarded, host a dedicated server , start the game, and then look at it through the server list. If it's dead, the ports are not forwarded.

We need more information such as Operating System (Mac or Windows), Router (Linksys, Airport Extreme), and what you know how to do. Only then can we fully understand your problem and formulate it.
