I just don't get it though. All you do is plug it into a vacant PCI slot, and it works.
I'm going to have to blame this stuff motherboard (again) on this one.
Especially how the onboard sound died, one of the two case usb plugs doesn't work, It has a hard time booting, most of the screwholes are mis-aligned, and a bunch of other stuff in general doesn't work. The damn thing barely fits into its model-specific faceplate.
Knowing that the onboard sound was dead and had no hopes of being fixed by anything, I contacted tech support just to see what they would say. I told them I used several distros of Linux, and several versions of Windows.
They said it was a driver issue and directed me to the drivers I told them I had already used.
