how do i start a server

i want to know to start/make a server. it would be really cool if someone could tell me. ive tryed things but it didnt work.

Anyway:
First off Port Forward.  Look at the topics above.  If you can't portforward then you probably shouldn't have a server up.  This will likely be tricky, if you encounter a problem then it is probably because your computer is doing excatly what you tell it.
