Author Topic: Decal Error  (Read 684 times)

I got my decals to work in BL, but for some reason, the back and sides are sometimes messed up with different colors. Wx: A red decal, the side is trans and the back and opposite tises are black. I noticed one thing in common: the messed up colors that arn't supposed to be there usually consist of one or more colors on the decal that is currently in use.

Feedback/Help please

If these are torso decals, you're not using enough transparency. Blockland doesn't like non-transparent decals for some reason.

Every decal has some transparency, do I need to have more/all?

Your decal probably goes to one or both side of the transparent canvas, try shrinking it some

You mean leave some extra space as a border of just transparence?
If so, about how wide of transparency?

I'm not sure, just use one of the default ones as an example, like if you're using Paint.net or something else that can do multiple layers, use the prisoner (Black striped) decal, place any colored box over the stripes on the same layer, select the box, while selected, make a new layer and try to fit your decal in there

At least, that's what i would do

I'll try it, feedback will follow.
Feel free to offer any other possible solutions!

Edit: That solved all of my problems! Thanks guys.
I used Paint.net to:
1. add 35 pixels of trans to the top and bottom.
2. put it back to the correct dimensions.

Plus, I used this glitch (or whatever it is) to make one of my decals have black sides, back, and top.
