Oxygen was not a requirement for life until later. In fact, the atmosphere only has a relatively large oxygen concentration because of the rise of photosynthesis in organisms, one of whose waste products is oxygen. Cell respiration, which is the way animals produce their energy, requires oxygen and produces carbon dioxide, which is a requirement for photosynthesis.

I never said that it need oxygen to live. I said that without oxygen, there is no ozone layer, meaning they'd be fried by ultraviolet rays.

Eve.

Why the holy forget did you bring this thread back to life?

And with a one loving word response?

If evolution was real, why aren't monkeys evolving now? exactly.

If evolution was real, why aren't monkeys evolving now? exactly.

Apparently, they still are. It's a "slow process".

Totally agreeing with you on this one. We should let it die.

You're not letting it die. You speak out of your ass with no prior knowledge, and you prove that repeatedly.

stuff, now I'm not letting it die.

fffffffffff

If evolution was real, why aren't monkeys evolving now? exactly.
because my snake is large

Because it takes billions of years, smartass. Not everything is instant. Idiot responses like that make me cringe.

They are you forgettard.

Evolution is a progressive change within a species;
it happens, as I understand it, that a mutation in a gene, for example a bird has a larger beak but is one species (in this case, it would be a bird that has to dig deep to get its food), will grow better and thus reproduce more. The offspring have a chance of inherriting the same mutation, and thus, ones who have it to a more extreme extent will reproduce more and eventually will not be able to reproduce with the former species due to that their genes are too altered to do so, thus forming another species.

They are you forgettard.
Then how come people aren't sprouting wings!?  GOOD DAY SIR!

and eventually will not be able to reproduce with the former species due to that their genes are too altered to do so, thus forming another species.
Not exactly. An entire species undergoes the change, not just a few sects. I think you're looking for divergent evolution.

Then how come people aren't sprouting wings!?  GOOD DAY SIR!
hahaha

actually wings would be quite useful :(

But then we could get Bird Flu much easier.
