Author Topic: Does area = base x width x height?  (Read 9263 times)

Please post your answer if other.

No, volume = base x width x height.

Area is Length x width.

If you're trying to find the "area" of a cube, its volume. Of a square, its area.

Unless it's surface area.
Then on a cube it would be 6(length x height or base)

Oya

or if not a cube you find the area of each side then add em.

Does depth have anything to do with it?

Area for rectangle = Length x width.
Area for Triangle = 1/2 (Base x Height)
Area for parrelogram = Base x Height
Area for square = S2

There are several areas.

Naw, that's there to confuse ya.
Surface area is just length, width, and height.

Math talk makes me smile. :3

Are you in special classes?
I knew A=LW in elementary school

I don't want to sound like a richard, but you should know this at 13 years old...

Wolfram is the stuff.

And who answered "yes"?

Area is two dimensional. Length x Width, two dimensions.
A=LW

Volume is three dimensional. Length x Width x Height, three dimensions.
V=LWH
