Author Topic: My opinion  (Read 2891 times)

The fact that spirituality has been present in mankind for a long time I belive is evidence that there exists some connection. While it may not exactly be the Christian Holy Trinity, I prefer to view it through that. The general desire to become connected to the universe in the afterlife is present in many religions, a perfect example would be buddhism and hinduism. Except minus the reincarnation thing. I really don't like that reincarnation idea, I don't know why, but it seems kinda silly to recycle souls, especially through animals that show no forms of higher connectivity to the Lord. If I could coin new terms for everything to avoid the confusion of this being a religious belief instead of the reative perception of how things work, I would... but I am nto that creative.

God loves you, he's not in love with you.
Yeeeaaahhh.... Thats kinda what I was saying....

This religious stuff is just confusing. This topic has encouraged me to become an Aeithist, I hope your happy Ladios.

This set of beliefs is not any established religion, infact, in my opinion, the idea of organized religion is kinda stupid. That man can enforce rules and claim to know everything. My thing is a theory to describe the phenomenons I have experianced througout my life.

The bible is a creation of man, and every creation of man has a purpose. Now, the bible was supposedly rewritten, so the initial purpose could be anything. But, if it has always been God's word, why would it need to be rewritten? Why is there variations of belief if there is only one will of God?

Oh, i like your opinion, but what you just said here.

The bible was created by many men who seen what happend and who were there it was re-created to be better understood not to change what it said. Yes, it did have a purpose, but a very good one. The purpose is to help people, and to spread the word of the lord.

Ladios, i love this topic. One more thing, i think this is awsome dude you should write a religios book.

enough with the tl;drs. i read the whole thing, and i agree with you fully.

Religion is an interesting topic, merely because of the fact that man is incapable of accepting that other people believe in other things. If we could all respect each others opinions without starting wars, the world would be a better place.

I personally don't believe in god, and the reason I think most people do, is that the intricate cycle that makes up our universe is so complex, it would only make sense that a higher being made it. It also may give comfort to some people for an after life. I believe that the universe has slowly over time evolved into what it is now, a perfect complex cycle of elements and life.

I do not know the answer about the universe and no one ever will, therefore I am not necessarily right. I am just putting my opinion out there.

@skele and duke

Yes, the Bible is written by man to record events as perceived by man. I specifically said that it can't be that accurate due to man not actually knowing what happens on all levels of the universe, and has no way of knowing what happened before its own creation as scientists at this point can only measure physical records of the univers's past. I do like to use the Bible as a reference though as it is the most insightful work of man into the spiritual existance. Though not by any means thorough (sp?) it is all we really have.

Look up stupid in the dictionary, knowing you, you'll think it turned into a mirror.

So you're going to become atheist because you're to stupid to understand something? Make sense... oh wait, nope it doesn't

Aside from the last two comments and Maximum's thing, and the tldr's, I thank you all for the surprising amount civility on this topic.

I stopped at "there is one God".

Because I know that I'll agree with you if that's what that wall was about.

Its a bit more complicated than that... hence it is a wall. :P

Actually, after skimming a little, it all seems to follow one simple theme. Basically: You believe in God and everything associated with Him.

In my opinion, there is one Lord, one God, one Creator of all the world, the galaxy, the universe. But in itself the Lord is within the universe in an underlying plane of a sort of spiritual presense. Not so much that every living thing is a part of God or that God is a part of everything, but God is present in all things, through His creation, the universe. The universe thereby is an extension of God and His will.

You will not be sorry when you are dead. I promise you.
