Do you type out a post, think against it, and then not post it?

Yes, all the time.
Yes, only sometimes.
No...well, maybe once or twice.
No. Never have.

Author Topic: Rethinking your posts and then not posting: Do you do it?  (Read 2136 times)

Sometimes I find myself typing a post, whether it be a new topic or a response, and then halfway through (or sometimes when I'm about to post it) I end up just clicking back to the main board and not posting. I guess sometimes my voice of reason is a little late to the party. (In fact, I did it to this post yesterday. D:)

Anyone else do this?

i do this when i think there no point in posting, or is going to make me lose Rep or get me banned

Oh my god yes.

I also sometimes open up the bl forums, close firefox, and open up firefox again to only do the same thing :(

Very much.

I find it happen a lot when I find someone's comment stupid, so I type of some paragraph of why they're wrong, then I'm like "Why bother starting an argument?" and I just exit out.

Sometimes I think of something funny to post, type it, realize it wasn't all that funny and then delete it.

Warning - while you were typing a new reply has been posted. You may wish to grahaba fab doohober doo.

I do the same thing

Just now, i quoted someone, and then backed up.  I honestly had nothing to say, I don't even know why i clicked quote. :3

I do it because I don't want to seem like a richard.

forget, I just did it again.

I do it because I don't want to seem like a richard.

Me too, usually I do that when the post is.... yeah, what you said.

I can't recall any occurrence of me doing this recently. I have something to say and I say it. If I don't, I don't reply with anything.

You should see how long it takes me to type an e-mail though. I revise it multiple times, check for any grammatical errors, and obsess over whether I used a proper greeting and signature.
