Uhm... does the TGE work on the 360?  oh noes.

huh, w/e I don't favor consoles.  Anyways that would still be a good deal of work to get it on there I think.

Its safe to say, there has been another update. Many more lighting effects and particle effects have been added. Lights are rendered smoother now, and better, and they blend nicely.

A sum up of the update in text:
New particle emmiters (fog, laser)
You can choose which direction you want the particles to move in. IE: changing the direction of water so it sprays up, down, left, right, forward, or backward.
Red, green, blue, orange, yellow, purple lights, strobe lights, a red alarm light, RGB color cycling light, and an intense white light. Unfortunately, you need a video to really see and understand some of the effects.

That was about it. Well, those are the changes you can see anyway.

And now for a few demo images:

RGB cycling light:

More RGB, and fog effect:

Layering colors to make neon colors:

A nice orange glow:

i want retail... i will kill for it >:)

Wow...how graphics intensive is the lighting and stuff so far? I fear my graphics card may not be able to handle it. ;_;

Lets just leave it at, if you are having trouble running Vanilla Blockland, you will probably want to upgrade or get a new computer.

The lighting and effects use a lot less resources then their counterparts (glowing weapons, flashlights, particle emiters) that mods added.

Ah, that's good, because RTB's effects stuff likes to destroy my frame rate. *imagines the possibilites of the new effects*

There are a myriad of detail adjustments.  There's a texture detail setting if you cant handle the 512x512 textures.  You can limit the number of lights rendered at once.  You can turn on vertex lighting if you can't handle the lightmaps.  You can turn the particle effects down until that indoor fog bank there is only a few puffs.  You should be able to get it running on any machine that will run v2.

I have a question, Badspot. Is there a reason you didn't make graphics this good for original BL?

It looks better mainly because I've spent a lot more time on this than I did on the original.

Also, the original BL was a long time ago.  I know a lot more about torque and I'm better at everything now.
