Intro
Before I start I first want to say IM not the one making the thread, I just update it. This thread was made for people to discuss good build techniques and ideas. Also it was made so the noobs out there can get better. Second, I have searched found 1 that sorta sucked. A long time ago I saw Limpfittz's (I think) and both where to old to post so Iv Started a new one. I will update this page any Time Something new and good is posted.
Hints on Building House's
-before you make the walls put down bricks that show the separation of rooms
-Build Roofs!
First off never EVER leave a house without a roof. Also never use a base plate or a plate as a roof. It makes your build suck unless you have a better plan in mind. Use Ramps for making ramps or even use 2 x 2 block's and sorta of make a pyramid design/shape.
-Use build macros to make walls w/2x4 bricks to make brick walls and they look better.

I use 1x2 bricks for walls.
However, if building for a LARGE project, try to use larger bricks to cover the same space.
Instead of building a large wall of 1x2 interlocking bricks, use 1x8 and 1x6 bricks for the bottom, then a 1x12x5 brick for the top 5/6 of the wall height.
Don't build your walls as a height of just a player. Use 6 bricks or 7 as the height - does your head graze along the ceiling of your home? I think not.
Try to build stairs using a 2-plate-per-step height instead of 1 brick (3 plates). A brick-height step looks too high to comfortably step up. Two plates looks natural and regular - more like the height of your ankle, look at stairs in real life to see this.
Don't build whole houses from windows. About 1/2 to 1/3 of the walls should be windows on the exterior - something like 4 brick window, 4 brick wall, alternate, or 4 brick window, 6 brick wall, alternate - unless you're building a 'modern architecture' style building (huge windows, double-height floors, balconies over open rooms, etc.)
Use your head - entire floors of buildings usually aren't one room. Your bed is not in the same room as your kitchen. Build out a floorplan and use individual rooms inside your full building - this seems like it will add a hell of a lot to your build but in reality it will add MORE.
