All he did was bind the keys differently...

That's all I did, not too dificult until I  went on Blockland one day and it had the demo sign on it and i couldn't join servers because for some reason it went back to demo.  It also reset every single key I binded.(like 30) So I had to do everything all over.

If you play on a laptop, then you need special controls.
If you play on a mac, then you need special controls.

You don't need special controls for Mac Desktop. There's a numpad there.
V10 left out Ctrl+K, but besides that, it didn't need any modifications.
