Author Topic: I-pod question  (Read 1414 times)

Hey I didn't no anywhere else to ask, so I thought you guys could help me.  Some of you might know that my computer crashed, so I am using my parents laptop and I want to put all my songs on this laptop to itunes.  Can I do it without deleting any songs or erasing anything?

tl;dr I want to get my songs on this laptop with my ipod without deleting anything.

tl;dr wasn't loving needed dumbass. It was 1 paragraph; there is no "too long; didn't read". Along with this, it's iPod, not I-pod you carrot. On another note, when you download iTunes all of your mp3s in the music folder auto go into your songs, from there you can just put them on your ipod.

Edit: Wait what. You want to transfer music through computers via iPod? Just get a flash drive, son.

No.  I have an iPod, it has alot of music, my laptop has different music on iTunes (different from the ones on my iPod) and I want to put my music in iTunes without erasing anything.  (If I mess-up I can go back on crashed computer and extract songs again)

Didn't say you didn't have an iPod. Still though, if all else fails, get a USB flash drive for this purpose and for the future. I think you can get a 2gb one for around 10 dollars at staples.

I'm going to try right now.

Okay I did it and it said that it said that I cannot sync songs on this iPod when it is from another iTunes library.  Is there a way to extract the songs into a folder then add it to iTunes?

Sync it with that library?
I can't remember what I did when I had to move my songs from my old computer to my new one, but I know you can sync it with up to five different computers.
