Author Topic: In need of an honest, unbiased opinion.  (Read 11158 times)

Greetings.

I'm fairly new around here, and have dug through these forums trying to overcome Blockland's steep learning curve. It seems like a lot of fun.

My dilemma centers around the two mods, TBM and RTB. I briefly tried both, but can't decide between the two. I have a few criteria for what I'm looking for, and it may be a little different than most people here.

• I'm looking to set up a permanent island neighborhood.
• The best weapons and team options are not my main concern.
• I want a safe and secure server.
• Good builder's options, and a wide selection of bricks.
• A color palette that stays true to the original "Lego" style.
• Good vehicles (maybe both mods have the same vehicles and vehicle physics, not sure on this...).
• Attractive, easy-to-use and customize GUI.

If anybody would be willing to offer their most unbiased opinion on this as possible, that'd be a great help.

Thank you for your time.

I'd like to post my views here but can't due to "complications".

I'd go with RtB, more people play it for your island community.

Yeah, I'd go with that too.

I cannot voice my opinion here, but maybe if we met on neutral grounds I could give a rundown of the basic features in both mods.

Hmm...

In order to maintain neutrality please email me your thoughts to chaotico@grandecom.net; I'd hate to start a war here on these forums.

I'd like to hear how this mod animosity came about.

Thanks.

In other words, he doesn't give a sh*t about weapons, he's going to build an island community... and unless it's in the ghetto, it doesn't need weapons.

And I recommend RTB as it is more user-friendly with a bunch more people.

1. Okay, so it seems like TBM is great for builders (with more color choices and bricks). Is it possible to add bricks to RTB, or does this require an update from the makers of the mod themselves?

2. Which mod takes the map category?

3. I'm wondering if one is more stable than the other. I wouldn't want the mod to disappear any time soon and lose all of my work.
