Author Topic: Kheyre does some Impressionism  (Read 1579 times)

Well I has been doing some Impressionism art recently, here is some of them.

The City

The Countryside

The Lake

Fun tip: The sand is still water just recoloured.

The Forest

Fun tip: I switched the bush and grass colours around.

The Cave

Fun tip: This one was suggested by a real life friend.

Got any other ideas on what I should do for it? It has a simple theme, "The ____"

The same filters on different pictures in photoshop. 'Grats.
Dispite how these look cool, the scratchmarks being exactly the same in every pic really makes me not like these.

Do you even know what Impressionism is?

Quote
# Short, thick strokes of paint are used to quickly capture the essence of the subject, rather than its details. The paint is often applied impasto.
# Colours are applied side-by-side with as little mixing as possible, creating a vibrant surface. The optical mixing of colours occurs in the eye of the viewer.
Since it is done via digitally, I had to do the "Scratch mark" idea.

Edit: The scratchmark in the city was also to represent rain because it already looks like the "minimal pair strokes" idea was going on.

4/10

They're alright, but nothing that special in my opinion.

I like how "the forest" looks but only because the way the tree has like shadows and stuff is really fun to stare at and stuff.

i like these, you covered a lot of the aspects of impressionism.

E.L.B.O.W. :D

everyday life
light + atmosphere
brush strokes
outdoors
weather

I do landscape type things only right now, and I am not into that type of art.
Ninja edit: I am working on one that involves a cave/mountain/volcano (one of them not all of them).
Turtle edit: 'The Cave' is done.

The forest caught my attention the most.

I think Impressionism might just be one of my favorite art styles. Claude Monet, the founder of Impressionism, is my favorite artist...

However, something is a bit off about these...

Might be because true Impressionism can only be done on page/canvas. This is digital, I can not make small short strokes of paint unless I plan on taking days making one image.

And in real life they take weeks. Poor you.
:P

Also, how are them fun tips "tips"?

They are not, I just felt like naming them that.
Also, Depending on the artist, they can make a Impressionism painting in the same time as a digital artist if they both do strokes.

The Mesa? :D or
