Ok, so right now, Windows 7 is the only OS on my PC (long story), and I have simple green audio jack speakers, when I plug them in, I get nothing. Why is this?I dont think they show up in device manager.

Got the correct sound drivers?

where would I get those?

Two Toasts: um, at least tell me what kind of speakers these are. They have an audio jack that is green. What are these called?

Line out.

Sound drivers installed? You get them from your sound cards manufacturing site.

ok, I got a Realtek ALC860 but I cant find any drivers

Make sure they are pluged into the green hole.

they are, windows 7 isn't recognizing them, and dxdiag says I dont have a sound card

Maybe its not fully connected in your computer.

you need drivers

look up <motherboard name> driver

but how would I install the drivers if it doesn't recognize the sound card? or do you mean the Motherboard drivers?

It doesn't look like the manufacturers have made any drivers for Windows 7, after a quick-look google search.

I only dug through the first page on google search for "Realtek ALC860 windows 7 drivers"
