(Don't comment on title, unless you want to...)

My computer speakers are victims of the virus: Old age...  They are 8 years old, and for them to work, you have to turn on on an angle between 20 and 35 degrees. That's not all, when I hit the 4 minute, 50 second mark on a youtube video. They conk out. They also ring at deafning levels when their volume level is 3/8+

And since we can't afford new ones at the time, (Well, we can afford new ones. But we just don't want to buy some...), get in they way of just about anything. But we do have a solution my sister hates. We use her iDogs and crank up the volume until we hear some static, (When it gets to overpowering for the iDog), which of course, isn't too loud.

tl;dr  Crappy speakers suck.

I'll agree with you on that. Back in 2000 I purchased a 4.1 sound system that was supposed to be designed for the Xbox (the original) or PS2. It's a Kinyo if anyone recognizes the brand. However, after finding a neat-o adapter piece, it works rather well for pc speakers and has since annoyed my neighbors with it's ridiculous bass thumping when I get into my cravings for Techno. 9 years later, they work like new, although the hand held volume control/power switch is touchy and can cut out sound all together if I adjust volume there. Thankfully I never need to since my pc has that option on it's own.

My speakers are great.
They are made for PC, but subwoofer doesn't like working on PC much.
Not enough bass.
I once for fun plugged it to TV, and I actually had to turn the bass down. :o
And on this laptop, the plugs hate outer sound devices.
Headphones crackle, subwoofer hums. D:

My speakers are head phones, the fidelity is incredible and having the horrible monsters screaming in my ears makes gaming so much better.

i have 5.1 stero surround sound USB headphones. they are a blessing. good thing is is that i dont have to worry about sound cards because it has its own.
my brother was using them to listen to his metal music, and i tried it, and the quality of the sound was overpowering. it was so good.
i watched The Dark Knight on a laptop with these, and it sounded better than it did in the theater.

tl;dr  my headphones are better than any speaker set ive ever used.

My computers sound-out jack has to be pulled upwards for the computer to recognize them.
What I mean is, I have a gamecube sitting on top of my computer holding the wire upwards, which, then, goes below onto my desk's left knob and into my headphones.
Don't worry, they're like, 3 feet of wire.
