No, but then they'll keep making posts and topics about it until the forum overflows. So I just go ahead and tell them. I figure that if they can actually figure out how to make models and script, then they can figure out how to make somewhat-decent add-ons.

Just use Blender or MilkShape for modeling and notepad for scripting.

You have to learn to script.  Learning to script is like... learning to doublekickflip on a skateboard, You use trial and error, and learn along the way. You first need to learn the ollie. (The basics of scripting.) Then a simple kickflip. (A little more advanced.) And then top it off with the double kickflip. (Hard.) And to learn the basics, you do what you do when you are baby learning to speak, by watching other people do it. (Or in this case, study another script.) Mess with it to learn what each phrase means in coding.

ok, first make a model(using milkshape or blender or sketch up) then you will need notepad(i think) and that is what you script it on(trial and error is the best to learn how to do that) then you zip it all up(there are some other things that will need to be in the zip file but those are complex), and unveil it on the forums(and get ready for flaming for a bad model, but don't dispair you will get better). so that is about it(won't be easy so don't rush)

Start by reading scripts untill you understand what they do. If you understand basic english, which you may have some difficulty with, you should understand the code.
