Author Topic: Invalid Packet  (Read 553 times)

I think one of my vehicle's particle explosion gives an invalid packet. What would I change to fix this?

Depends on the type of invalid packet

Things to note:
1) sometimes execing weapons/vehicles ingame to update them can invalid packet new joiners.
2) If the particle is named the same as another file, i.e a dts file, you might have issues.

My bomber plane spawns tires in the bomb so could that be because of the name?

thats great!!! you just discovered a new projectile!!!
you should call it the tire bomb!!!
unless someone already discovered it though.

If you update an add-on with media files that have the same name as the previous version it will cause an Invalid packet rather than re-downloading the files.

Example: If you were using car.dts, and you make a modification to the car.dts, and save it as car.dts. All the people with the old car.dts will get Invalid packet when joining a server with the new car.dts, and vice versa.

Ok, thanks for the info.

although you might want to keep the files for the tire bomb and release it as an add-on.
people would like it : )
