Author Topic: Running a server on a laptop: Possible?  (Read 322 times)

Is it possible to run a server on a laptop? The router I'm connected to is fully port forwarded and can host, and my firewalls are giving Blockland full access, yet my servers are still dead. Is it just that laptops cannot host, or is there something I'm missing?

i wouldn't think blockland or a router would even know if they were being used with a laptop or not.
as desktops can be wireless just the same, and nothing changes with the game.

something else must be breaking it

That doesn't seem right.

I just got this laptop, there's barely any programs on it that could possibly be interfering. The firewall isn't blocking it either.

Any ideas, anyone?

I just realized I didn't edit my TCP stuff, I'll do that and see if that works. Other ideas welcome in the meantime.

Double post.

Problem resolved.

Had to move the hosting computer of the Blockland ports from my main computer to my laptop, and edit the TCP settings.

Now locking.
