Why is Badspot on there twice, do you fight him in 2 different forms?

We made a proof-of-concept demo today and laid out some ideas.

Kinda, he tries to defeat you before the acual boss fight (That's why the first time is a mini boss)
Also, Badspot (Boss) is level 100, sorry kakashi

Yeah, I'm going to ask around the block and see who isn't busy/will help us.

At any rate, putting my concept test server up. I've done some cool work with my proposed "Welcome to Beta City" Level 1.

When will the server be up?

Up now.

Here's what I've done so far for my proposed "Welcome to Beta City":
Stages:
Stage 1: screaming civilians
 They run out of the buildings in a constant stream
Stage 2: Lightning
 A dark cloud looms over head and fires off lightning bolts, damaging the sky scraper
Stage 3: Bombs
 Some bombs come out of the cloud and do more damage to the city


All of which is evented and happens in cinematic fashion.

Sounds pretty neat. Oh, and you can get a zombie horse somewhere.
Will this be released?

SKILL TREE 1: PYRO

Pyro:
 Plays with fire.


Weapons:
Fire brick: Throw a single flaming brick. Does blunt damage and sets the target on fire. Abilities: FB range(increases speed of brick) FB fire(increases after burn)
Torch: melee weapon. Does fire damage and sets target on fire. Abilities: T Fire(increases afterburn) T burn(use on allys to make their weapons burn, also makes your other weapons burn)
Molotov: Thrown weapon. All monsters caught in its explosion are set on fire. Abilities: MT range(increases speed) MT Fire(increases afterburn)
Flame thrower: close range weapon. Only deals after burn damage. Abilities: FT range(increases speed) FT Fire(increases afterburn)

Looks good, how will the tree work?

You get skill points each level which can be used on those skills.

using it on a weapon skill unlocks that weapon for you. Using it on an ability gives you that ability or improves it.
You need Pyromania to get the Molotov and Flamethrower, and to get pyromania you need Firebrick or Torch.

We will probably expand on this further as well.


From there we have 2 options:
1) You have 2 classes and are a multiclass character
or
2) You only get 1 skill point a level

anything else and you'll max out your skills way too fast.

These weapons will be with you in each level, whereas weapons you find in the level will disappear at the next level(unless totally necessary to keep them)

Pyro will basically be the first thing I put together.
