That won't do anything.

Try popping off the plating of it and another key next to it and showing us what it looks like under it compared to the other letter. I know you can do this, i'm using a laptop too...

I got many problems with ctrl and function till I remove hkcmd.exe from startup using msconfig programm.
START ->> RUN
type msconfig
ENTER
go to fold STARTUP / AUTORUN
uncheck hkcmd
APPLY, CLOSE
Restart.
Should be ok. If not back to the settings you had.

After I did msconfig (yay copy paste) , it came up with System Configuration:

so where is fold STArTUP-- wtf rrr.. It won't do capital r.. D:
anyways, STArTUP/AUTOrUN?

IT is worded differently. Look in the pic next to tools.
