I can find where it mentions that image spam will get you banned for 2 weeks.

Its kind of a undefined rule.

It should be followed, any spam of any kind is bad. Period.

Badspot once wrote something to the effect of "Use common sense, I shouldn't have to tell you everything that is right or wrong."

You get banned if you do something dumb or annoying. Not everything is written in the rules. It's not a black and white code of conduct that messages are measured against. It's a set of guidelines. It is assumed that your parents did a reasonable job of teaching you how to behave in public.

Here is the modify button:

When you got put in the banned usergroup and it reverted you to unbanned the permissions probably got screwed up. I don't think Badspot likes smf and the permissions system very much. I don't blame him.

EDIT: changed image size, it was stretching the page
